The AS 531 2T ES MK B now comes with a mulching kit as standard, which can be installed without tools as required. 3-in-1 means: you have the choice! Mow with a grass collector, mulch with the mulching kit or mow lawn or taller grass using the rear discharge. The 2-stroke engine installed in the AS 531 2T ES MK B complies with the applicable EU emissions directive 97/68/EC. Since the engine lubrication is maintained regardless of position with the AS 2-stroke engine, even mowing work on slopes of up to 40° and more is possible without risking engine damage. The limit of use is only set by the user’s occupational safety. The AS 2-stroke engine is equipped with an EasyStart function. The digital CDI ignition system halves the speed required for starting, making the professional lawn mower very easy to start. The high torque generated by the 2-stroke engine ensures that even when the grass is wet, it all ends up in the grass catcher. The grass catcher has a capacity of 75 liters and a fill level indicator. The AS 531 2T ES MK B is the only one in its class to have an automatic safety parking brake and differential lock. As soon as the blade clutch lever is released, the parking brake is activated and the machine comes to a safe stop. This makes it possible to empty the grass catcher safely on a slope. The open V-shape of the handlebars with the operating concept developed by AS-Motor relieves the operator: With the left hand, the speed can be continuously adjusted from 3.0 to 4.5 km/h while driving using the Variomatic lever. The right hand steers and operates the blade clutch, the drive and the parking brake. The blade clutch makes it possible to bring the blade to a standstill, for example when emptying the grass catcher, without having to switch off and restart the engine. The swivel handlebars also make it easy to use the AS 531 2T ES MK B along house walls, hedges or when mowing next to parked cars. The handlebars are mounted on elastomers. VibrationProtect vibration damping reduces tiring hand-arm vibrations to a minimum.
